Scholarships 2024-2025

Scholarships

If there are any questions regarding a scholarship, students should reach out to Miss Cynder ([email protected]).

There are many scholarships out there for our high school seniors!

SENIORS, you should take the time to complete the scholarship applications. Make sure you apply to college FIRST and then complete your scholarship application. You have to get into college to be able to use your scholarship!

National, regional and local scholarships are all online. Check back to this site often to get updated information!

LHS Guidance will post scholarship applications throughout the year as they are released from the sponsoring organization. The larger, more competitive, national and regional scholarships are available earlier in the school year and local scholarships are available in early spring.

Remember that you should NEVER have to pay money to get information about FREE scholarship applications!

All LHS College-Bound Seniors Should Complete This Application: (deadline has passed)
Here is a sample Data Sheet Template

*This ONE application makes students eligible for a *limited number of local scholarships* with recipients to be determined by the LHS Scholarship Committee. The application needs to be completed in full and handed into guidance by DEADLINE HAS PASSED

LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS:
Please follow the directions for each scholarship respectively. Very few scholarship applications are due to the guidance office, most are due to the scholarship committee directly. Review each application for instructions to be sure your packet gets to the correct recipient. ***There are many online scholarship search engines and websites. Please be careful when searching online. Some sites are just fishing for your personal contact information and some are trying to scam you out of money. BE WISE! With that said, there are many useful tools out there and a lot of money for those willing to put in the time to look and apply. Some websites that we have advised kids to try are Fastweb.comScholarships.com, and Finaid.org (Please let us know if you have any trouble using any of these sites, or if you have a site that worked well for you. We appreciate it and like to spread the information.
We also encourage parents to check with their employers and places of business for any scholarship programs available.
*Scholarships are always dispersed based on availability and funding, especially the local scholarships.
